With the SQL 2008 Administration for Microsoft Dynamics GP training course, Microsoft Dynamics GP administrators will learn techniques for installing, configuring, and administering SQL Server 2008. This single day course is designed to strengthen a GP administrator's maintenance and optimization skills of Microsoft Dynamics GP products using SQL Server Management Studio. Attendees will increase their understanding of Microsoft Dynamics GP and SQL administration concepts and learn how to implement these concepts into their respective environments.
At the completion of the course, attendees will be able to:
- Install SQL Server 2008
- Optimize SQL Server for Microsoft Dynamics GP
- Understand and use some of the SQL Server tools
- Choose appropriate recovery model for Microsoft Dynamics GP databases
- Set up and edit Database Maintenance Plans
- Back up and restore a database
- Troubleshoot common problems
This is a very hands-on class. Attendees will work through guided exercises to perform the above tasks in our controlled test environment.
