Year-end wrapping
Holiday planning can be as stressful as it is exciting. While our calendars are filled with dates and events surrounding the bird, the birth, and the ball-dropping, we need to make sure we chisel out some time for the year-end process with GP.

I know, I know… when you live in the world of finance, year-end is already on our radar. Don't treat me like an auditor, I really am just here to help.

While many year-end tasks come well after the groggy first day of the year, it's important to do some planning, especially if you process your payroll in Dynamics.

While our calendars are filled with events surrounding the bird, the birth, and the ball-dropping, we need to make sure we chisel out some time for the year-end process with GP.

Upcoming year-end webinar

We here at InterDyn Artis are happy to sit with each and every one of you to go through the most current task list for closing the calendar year and the fiscal year in Dynamics GP… however, with the help of a holiday miracle (technology), we want to invite you to join us for a year-end webinar on December 2 at 2:00 pm.

Bring your questions regarding year-end and we will do our best to help! Can't make it… no problem, we will record it and make it available to everyone.

If you are a veteran to this process, please KEEP reading… things have changed… A LOT! Well, not really, but if you use Payroll there are some really important things to consider (especially surrounding your favorite acronym...ACA).

Year-end updates

With year-end approaching, you are probably aware that Microsoft has issued a year-end update to the application. It will include some bug fixes and enhancements to AP and PR (including tax code changes). We will talk about that more during the webinar, but in short, if you intend to report ACA out of GP, the update will be required.

If you're going to do your best to keep the bird from being too dry, then be sure to join us for year-end planning. It will help make sure the skirt under your tree doesn't get all bunched up.

Here's a pre webinar hint! If you use payroll, I strongly recommend that you get with our team to schedule time to apply the year-end update well before you process your last payroll. Yup, you can do that, I promise - we just need to manage it properly and it will save a lot of time so you can spend more time watching the ball drop, rather than that SUTA/FUTA report progress bar.
