As many of you already know, when you move to perpetual licensing (Microsoft Dynamics GP 2013 or higher), you gain access to many modules that you may not have previously had. Since everyone owns the Starter Pack once they are on these versions, here are some very helpful modules you own that you may not be using:
1. Fixed Assets
You can utilize the Fixed Assets module within GP to track your company’s assets. With a built in integration with both the purchasing and GL modules, Fixed Assets allows you to streamline your process and track your assets from beginning to end.
2. Intercompany
With the GP Intercompany module, you can create intercompany entries from Accounts Payable or the General Ledger. This allows you to charge expenses to a second company while paying invoices or allocate your journal entries to multiple companies.
3. Electronic Banking
The Electronic Banking Suite includes electronic reconcile, EFT for AP, EFT for AR and Safe Pay. These tools can help you save time, money and reduce the risk of fraud within your organization.
4. Revenue/Expense Deferrals
Are you using a spreadsheet to manage your prepaid expenses? You can handle this within GP with the Revenue and Expense Deferral module. Choose from standard or custom methods to spread your revenues or expenses over a period of time with one click, and you don’t have to worry about it again.
5. HR/Payroll
A huge advantage to the perpetual licensing is gaining the ability to manage HR and Payroll in house without any additional software purchase. Unlimited employees are also included for both.
